mattvogel: Cody Payne of The Dangerous Summer The TDS guys were in Des Moines on their headlining tour, so we met up and shot some promos and behind the scenes stuff. This is a photo of Cody I took when I was just doing some test shots and had him step in. Had a good time hanging out with them, then they crashed at my place. AJ played drunk Call of Duty for a while and we got two massive pizzas, then we woke up to a giant snowstorm the next morning.

All the bands on the bill were intense and put on a great show. I’ve seen A Day To Remember a bunch of times, but this was probably their best show I’ve attended. I kept getting yelled at during the band’s sets for taking pictures from the balcony, but I knew this moment was coming, so I sneaked past a security guard that was turned the other way onto the stairs in the middle of the venue and snapped a few frames before that security guard came to move me. But when he turned around and climbed up the stairs to where I was, he saw what I was taking pictures of and yelled in my ear, “Okay… that’s pretty sweet, you can take a few more pictures.”

A Day To Remember - 3/25/2011

The Gamechangers Tour was one of my favorites of the year. All the bands on the bill were intense and put on a great show. I’ve seen A Day To Remember a bunch of times, but this was probably their best show I’ve attended. I kept getting yelled at during the band’s sets for taking pictures from the balcony, but I knew this moment was coming, so I sneaked past a security guard that was turned the other way onto the stairs in the middle of the venue and snapped a few frames before that security guard came to move me.
